Victoria is the capital city of British Columbia. It is on the southern tip of
Vancouver Island. Victoria is a city of gardens! Temperatures are moderate summer and winter. They do,
however, occasionally receive snow, even though the city doesn't own a single snow plow. Salt Spring Island is
about mid-way between Victoria and Nanaimo, on the east side of Vancouver Island. The B. C. Provincial
Government sits in the Legislative Assembly.
Tourism is very important to Victoria, and to all of Vancouver Island.
